This Forum proposes an introduction to the context of the emergence of the privatization of security, from the Cold War to the present day. We will address the issue of regulating this sector through the prism of state responsibility, international initiatives and civil society. Finally, it will review the various issues and challenges private military and security companies and their personnel are facing.
